I recently read this amazing book “The Salesperson’s Honeymoon†by Avinash Kunchurkar. This is like one handful guide for all the entrepreneurs, businessmen, salespersons, and professionals who are striking for achieving their targets as well as maintaining work life balance.
We all know how much effort and dedication is required in every business to make it grow and to provide the desired and topmost services to their clients/ customers. People who are into business/ sales have to deal with 100s of emails, infinite phone calls. Unrealistic sales targets and day in and day out of the hectic work schedule. But the fact is disheartening that even this amount of hard work cannot guarantee you success.
This book is divided into two parts. The first part is the story of Chris and Joe. Chris is the star of the office and most valued asset of the company whereas Joey is continuously failing to achieve his targets no matter what technique or how much hard work he puts in. This part deals with all the problems that Joey faces as a salesperson and Chris provides a helping hand to Joey in solving those problems with various tips and techniques. The second part of the book talks about the sales moon curve in detail. What it is, how it works, how to apply it, and everything that one should know about this concept.
What I really liked about this book was the crisp and lucid writing style of the author and the way he presented all the information. The use of charts, graphs, and diagrams made it more intriguing and comprehensible for the readers. The author presented the first part of the book via two fictional characters with practical issues in a story format. Whereas the second part of the book is dealt with the more technical aspects.
This book was an informative and interesting read and will be helpful for each one of us. This book and the concepts explained therein can have drastic impacts if applied accordingly. The best part is that the author made everything simple so that anyone can read and take advantage of this book.
